Now that the school year is over, head on over to your local library to be entertained and engaged all summer long! Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) is hosting a multitude of events and adventures in the coming months that cater to a wide variety of interests and, best of all, are just for teens like you. You can even earn credit toward completing your FCPL Summer Reading Adventure by attending!

Learn a New Craft or Skill
ArtSplash

Visit a Maker Lab
FCPL has three Maker Labs, located at our Herndon Fortnightly, Pohick Regional and Sherwood Regional branches, where you can learn new skills, work on fun projects and connect with other makers in your community. Visit bit.ly/FCPL_MakerLabs for more info.
Connect with a Club
Book Clubs
FCPL is home to a book club or book discussion group for everyone, literally. From YA book clubs to book clubs about more specific topics, such as fandoms and fan culture, comics and graphic novels, LGBTQIA+ reads and more, find the one that works for you at bit.ly/FCPL_BookDiscussion.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Groups
Looking for a place you can gain leadership and volunteer experience and also share your ideas about how to make the library better? Try out a TAB group! Earn service hours by participating in projects, network and socialize with other teens, as well as participate in games and other fun programs. Get Your Game On
Tabletop Gaming
Board games, card games, you name it – FCPL has a program for that! Put your best strategy skills to the test with a tabletop role playing game or visit one of our chess groups. Video Games
Did you know that some branches offer video gaming sessions? Many of FCPL’s branches, including our John Marshall, Lorton and Tysons-Pimmit Regional branches have video games that you can play while at the library whenever you wish. Just stop by the circulation desk to see if there are any available. Laser Tag
Get competitive with your friends with one of FCPL’s afterhours laser tag sessions! Enter into a cooperative showdown between teams for the highest score. This high-tech, realistic "battle" action is safe, energizing and fun! Learn more about the upcoming sessions at bit.ly/FCPL_LaserTag.
