Community Meeting Held June 8; Commens Due June 19, 2017

Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) held a community meeting to discuss proposed bike lanes on Rose Hill Drive on Thursday, June 8, 2017, 6:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of Mark Twain Middle School, 4700 Franconia Road, Alexandria. The purpose of the meeting was to gather feedback on proposed striping changes related to bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. Representatives from FCDOT and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) discussed the proposed striping changes and presented the following information:

Project Background

As part of VDOT's summer road repaving program, there are several bicycle projects proposed for Fairfax County. The Rose Hill Drive project calls for narrowing existing travel lanes and striping bike lanes from Franconia Road to Telegraph Road.
