Fairfax County To Host Virtual Meeting on Mason and Braddock Districts Capital Bikeshare Expansion Aug. 22, 2024

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will host a virtual meeting on expanding the Capital Bikeshare network in the Mason and Braddock Districts at a virtual meeting on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at 7 p.m. FCDOT staff will present information on 16 proposed bikeshare stations in Annandale, Seven Corners and Bailey's Crossroads, along with general information about the bikeshare system and funding. The meeting will include time for questions and feedback from attendees.

Proposed station locations include:

  • Heritage Drive and Rectory Drive, Annandale
  • Ravensworth Drive and Jayhawk Drive, Annandale
  • Daniels Avenue and Poplar Street, Annandale
  • Little River Turnpike and Annandale Road, Annandale
  • Little River Turnpike and Medford Drive, Annandale
  • Americana Drive and Americana Place, Annandale (Braddock)
  • Patriot Drive and Inverton Road, Annandale (Braddock)
  • Cherry Street and Lawndale Drive, Seven Corners
  • Peyton Randolph Drive and Willston Drive, Seven Corners
  • Patrick Henry Drive and Willston Drive, Seven Corners
  • Patrick Henry Drive and Brook Drive, Seven Corners
  • Glen Carlyn Drive and Argyle Drive, Bailey's Crossroads
  • George Mason Drive and Seminary Road, Bailey's Crossroads
  • Carlin Springs Road and Columbia Pike, Bailey's Crossroads
  • Columbia Pike and Carlin Springs Road, Bailey's Crossroads
  • Route 7 & South Jefferson Street, Bailey's Crossroads

The Capital Bikeshare system has more than stations in the Metro D.C. area, with 77 located in Fairfax County. In addition to helping people commute, run errands, and ride to entertainment/leisure destinations, Capital Bikeshare also provides an important first mile/last mile connection to public transit options.
