For Immediate Release
Oct. 18, 2024

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will hold a final community meeting on the Wiehle Avenue Study on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at Langston Hughes Middle School, 11401 Ridge Heights Road, Reston, at 7 p.m. FCDOT Staff will present a Revised Concept that was developed from feedback at the November 2023 workshop and follow up public meeting in May 2024.

The goal of the Wiehle Avenue Study is to improve transportation options along Wiehle Avenue from Sunrise Valley Drive to the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. FCDOT has been working with stakeholders to identify new and improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities and intersection treatments, as well as evaluating the potential reconfiguration of vehicular lanes for current and future land use.
