The Fairfax County Department of Transportation, Department of Planning and Development, and the Virginia Department of Transportation will host an open house for attendees to learn about the progress of transportation improvements along the Richmond Highway Corridor. This event will have an open format where the public may arrive at any time during the event to view exhibits and speak with project staff on topics to include VDOT’s Richmond Highway corridor improvements, progress on Fairfax County’s bus rapid transit system and information on the County’s Embark Richmond Highway Plan Amendment. There will not be a formal presentation given.

Location: Gerry Hyland Governmental Center, Room 221(8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria)
Information and materials will be provided in both English and Spanish.
Free on-site childcare and shuttle transportation to the event from the Gum Springs and Hybla Valley Community Centers are available. Please email Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services at ncsrccregion1@fairfaxcounty.gov to request these services. Please submit requests by Monday, Dec. 8.
