The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a series of online meetings in April to discuss proposals for the 2025 Paving and Restriping Program. The meetings will include an overview of the repaving process and upcoming projects by VDOT and restriping improvements proposed by FCDOT.
As part of VDOT’s annual repaving program, FCDOT and VDOT work together to identify transportation infrastructure improvements to increase driver, bicyclist and pedestrian safety. The proposed 2025 Paving and Restriping Program includes bike lanes and potential crosswalk improvements, which will be presented for community feedback.
Virtual meetings have been scheduled to review these proposals by district and participants may join online or by phone.
Meeting Schedule:
- April 7 (7 p.m.): Sully and Dranesville Districts
- April 8 (7 p.m.): Hunter Mill, Providence and Braddock Districts
- April 9 (7 p.m.): Mount Vernon District
- April 10 (7 p.m.): Franconia District
- April 21 (7 p.m.): Springfield and Mason Districts
Specific meeting details and instructions for joining are available on the 2025 Paving and Restriping Program webpage. Meeting recordings, presentation slides and instructions for submitting comments will be posted following each meeting. Public comments will be accepted online, via phone and via U.S. Mail for two weeks following each meeting.
