Shrevewood Elementary School is in the Falls Church section of the Providence District. This federally funded project is part of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program, which helps schools and communities make walking and biking a safe, convenient, natural activity. The Shrevewood Elementary Safe Routes to School project consist of three new crosswalks, a sidewalk or shared use path across busy streets serving the school and expanded access to the W&OD Trail. The project design also includes the removal of the eastbound right turn lane to Fairwood Lane to accommodate the median refuge island.
