I hope you had a safe and healthy holiday weekend. We will have a better understanding of the impact of the holiday on our COVID-19 case load in the coming days and if you traveled, I urge you to stay home and get tested if you are experiencing symptoms.

Today, we had our last Board meeting of 2020. And what a year it has been! As you will see below, the County accepted funding from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) for the purpose of COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Some of you have requested more information regarding vaccine distribution and I plan on addressing this topic within the next week. As a reminder however, no vaccine has yet been formally approved by the FDA and thus all information remains preliminary. Final plans are dependent on guidance released from the federal and Virginia governments.
