Snowzilla Summit 2016:
On March 1, 2016, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors met with the various agencies and organizations that responded to the January 22-24, 2016 blizzard and the following clean-up effort. The Board and agency representatives discussed comments received from the community, including what went well and opportunities for improvement.
Hypothermia Prevention Program:
Fairfax County government works with faith communities, businesses and nonprofit partners to provide shelter for our most vulnerable members of the community. From December through March, hypothermia shelters are open every day of the week. If cold weather hits outside of that timeframe, a "no turn-away" policy goes into effect at all Fairfax County emergency homeless shelters.
