The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board is delighted to share the success of our May 9 Children’s Mental Health event at Clemyjontri Park, a vibrant, accessible space designed for children of all abilities. Thanks to the strong commitment of our community, we welcomed 231 children and 97 adults.

Each year, the event brings families, neighbors and community partners together to share resources, build relationships, strengthen inclusive support across the region and champion mental wellness for young people. This year, we highlighted and supported neurodivergent youth through activities and resources that celebrated diverse ways of thinking, learning and engaging with the world. The park’s wide-open play areas, adaptive equipment and welcoming environment provided an ideal setting for children with mobility needs and sensory preferences.

By shining a special light on neurodivergent youth this year, we celebrated their strengths and helped families learn more about available services, making the gathering both joyful and impactful.
As Senior Strategy Director Shweta Adyanthaya shared, “Events like this play such an important role in promoting positive mental health and reminding children and families that support, wellness and community matter. Thank you for creating a space where awareness, encouragement and fun could all come together so beautifully.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, 22 exhibitors, volunteers and staff whose generosity, enthusiasm and hard work made the day possible. Their dedication brought valuable resources, supportive organizations and engaging activities together in one place, creating an uplifting environment for families. Collaboration like this will continue to strengthen our community and support a brighter, healthier future for children and families.
