This summer, the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is moving to a new electronic health record system called NextGen. This change will help make communication easier, improve access to your health record and support stronger connections between you and your care team.
What you’ll find in the new portal
The portal is designed to be easy to use, with clear sections that help you find what you need. These include:
- Appointments – Find upcoming and previous appointments
- Messages – Receive messages from the CSB, including appointment reminders
- Health Record – View important information from your care at the CSB
- Health Forms – Quickly fill out forms and complete needed information
- Ask a Question – Send a secure question directly to the CSB
You will also be able to link your account to a dependent or give access to a trusted representative if needed.
Getting started with NextGen
A couple of weeks after CSB staff begin using NextGen, your client portal will be available. You will receive an invitation by email to join our new online client portal. The message will include a link to activate your account. To sign in for the first time, you will be asked to enter your ZIP code and your date of birth. Once your account is set up, you will have a simple, secure way to connect with the CSB.
CSB staff are beginning to use the new NextGen system now. Because this is a major update, you may notice that some appointments take a little longer than usual at first. You may also see some changes to appointment availability as staff learn the new system. We look forward to bringing you a better, more connected experience with the Fairfax-Falls Church CSB.
If you have questions before the portal launches, please reach out to your CSB provider.
