  • Diversion First celebrated a decade of cross-system collaboration that has transformed Fairfax County's response at the intersection of behavioral health and the justice system by prioritizing treatment, recovery, and community-based alternatives to arrest and incarceration.
  • Permanent Supportive Housing expansion fully launched in collaboration with local, state, and community partners to increase long-term, stable housing options for individuals with complex mental health needs. Since launching, there have been 27 individuals housed, additional placements are pending.
  • Chris’ Place opened, providing a regional peer-led wellness stay through a partnership with the Chris Atwood Foundation. This first-in-the-region program provides up to two weeks of crisis respite for individuals experiencing elevated distress related to mental health concerns or trauma.
  • The Addiction Medicine Clinic launched the county’s first substance use disorder urgent care, which expanded operations to seven days per week.
  • Regional services expanded with the opening of the Regional Crisis Receiving Center in Woodbridge (adding 32 recliners and 32 crisis beds – 16 each for adults and youth) and the Northern Virginia Adolescent Treatment Center in Chantilly (adding 16 residential beds).
