Nurses promote quality of life for people receiving mental health, substance use disorder and developmental disabilities services with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB).

Licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners are part of interdisciplinary teams in outpatient, residential, day support, homeless shelters, detoxification and clinic settings.

CSB nursing staff...

Partner with adults and youth to promote their optimal functioning and recovery.
Assess physical health status.
Provide case management and administer and deliver medications.
Educate individuals and families about health and wellness.
Provide mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
Design and ensure service plans for adults with developmental disabilities.
Facilitate crisis interventions.
Provide medical stabilization in acute care facilities.
Provide prescriptive and treatment interventions (Nurse Practitioners).
