Earlier today, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved service improvements to Fairfax Connector Routes 699 and 171, effective Saturday, July 28, 2018. The changes are based on passenger feedback, and implemented with the goal of improved customer experience through increased on-time performance, service reliability and effectiveness.

Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride Advisory: Sidewalk Closed

Effective January 18, 2017

The sidewalk adjacent to the old surface lot will be closed until the new garage is completed. Vehicle access will be restricted to one lane into the complex. Pedestrians should use the temporary sidewalk for the duration of the project. Click on the image below to enlarge.

Route 334 Advisory: Single Route Detour

Effective Jan. 8, 2018, through Fall 2018

To improve connections at the Franconia-Springfield Metro & VRE Station and provide more predictable travel times, Route 334 will operate a single route pattern at all times. Three stops will be missed due to this detour. Bus Stop IDs: 1860, 1862, and 6201.

Routes 321 and 322 Advisory: Bus Stop ID Relocation

Effective Sept. 30, 2017

Bus Stop ID #5162 – Industrial Road @ Commercial Drive - will not be served by Routes 321 and 322 until further notice. Passengers traveling to and from this location can use Bus Stop ID#3859 – Commercial @ E Industrial Road. This stop is located approximately 150 feet north of Industrial Road on the east side of Commercial Drive.
