If you damage, mark incorrectly (spoil), or lose your absentee ballot, or if you never received your ballot in the mail, you have several options:
- Email absenteevoting@fairfaxcounty.gov with "Reissue" in the subject line and confirm your name and voter registration address in your message.
- Take your ballot with you to vote early in person or on Election Day at your voting location. If you don't have your ballot you may need to vote a provisional ballot.
- Call our absentee ballot help line: 703-324-4969 (TTY 711).
- Visit the Office of Elections and bring your ballot with you, if you have it.
Per Virginia law § 24.2-1004. Illegal voting and registrations section B:
Any person who intentionally (i) votes more than once in the same election, whether those votes are cast in Virginia or in Virginia and any other state or territory of the United States, (ii) procures, assists, or induces another to vote more than once in the same election, whether those votes are cast in Virginia or in Virginia and any other state or territory of the United States, (iii) votes knowing that he is not qualified to vote where and when the vote is to be given, or (iv) procures, assists, or induces another to vote knowing that such person is not qualified to vote where and when the vote is to be given is guilty of a Class 6 felony.
