Voter Registration Drives
Are you planning a voter registration drive or event? There are steps you or your organization must take when requesting more than 25 registration forms: (Code of Virginia
§ 24.2-416.6.)
- Complete training provided by the Virginia Department of Elections (online).
- Sign the application request and affidavit to abide by all Virginia laws and rules regarding the registration of voters.
Important
- No individual or group shall compensate its volunteers or employees based on of the number of completed voter registration applications the volunteer or employee collects.
- No volunteer or employee of an individual or group shall accept compensation based on the number of completed voter registration applications they collect.
- Certification expires each year on June 30 and may be renewed by completing training annually.
