Visit Fairfax County’s Mailing Lists webpage to sign up for and manage your subscriptions to receive email newsletters, updates, and alerts on various topics. You can choose from multiple subscription options, which can be sent directly to your e-mail account.

To start getting information about local Continuum of Care meetings, new programs, funding and training opportunities, and more – click “Homeless Services Information” under “Prevent and End Homelessness” then enter your preferred email address and click “Submit”.

Fairfax Alerts

Visit the Fairfax Alerts webpage to register or manage your subscription to email, text message, and mobile app alerts. A wide variety of subscriptions are available for emergency, weather and transportation alerts, tax deadlines, and important events.

There are two channels dedicated to homelessness under the “Office to Prevent and End Homelessness”:

• Homelessness Resources & Information – For general news about local homeless services, much like the mailing list above.
   
• Homelessness Cooling & Heating Resources – This channel will alert unsheltered residents and local homeless services providers when Fairfax County activates cooling centers and overflow shelter capacity associated with heat emergencies, poor air quality days, and hypothermia season.
