Library Alert:
Sponsored by Fairfax County CERT and FEMA, this workshop empowers you to make a difference in a life-threatening emergency by teaching the basic techniques of bleeding control.
The Stop the Bleed national awareness campaign and call-to-action recognizes that, no matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene in a bleeding emergency. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss. Those nearest to someone with life threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care by taking three simple actions immediately after the trauma.
Learn these techniques on Saturday, August 10, at Patrick Henry Library, and be prepared to save a life! Ages 16+. Click here to register.
