The Fairfax County Park Authority is thrilled to welcome neighbors from across the county to the brand-new Woodlands Stewardship Education Center during the Spring Open House event on Sunday, April 28, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Nature enthusiasts of all ages are invited to immerse themselves in a day of fun activities designed to foster a deeper connection with the natural world. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on exploration of the stewardship center and gain valuable insights into sustainable practices that can be incorporated into their own homes, including water reclamation, solar energy production, reused materials and more. Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests will be treated to a special musical performance by Marsha from Marsha and the Positrons.
The realization of this project was made possible through the generous contributions of numerous donors, whose support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. The Park Authority and the Fairfax County Park Foundation extend their sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to making this dream a reality.
