Fairfax County undertook a process to evaluate the names of the Board of Supervisors districts with a focus on equity.
The Redistricting Advisory Committee made recommendations on which districts that should be renamed, as tasked by the Board of Supervisors. However, the committee did not propose new names — only recommend if districts should be renamed.
In its approved recommendations report, the committee concluded that Lee and Sully Districts should be renamed.
Ultimately, the Board of Supervisors will decide if it will rename any districts.
