Fairfax County Government Channel 16 won its second Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) – National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter, known as “Capital Emmys” at the 65th Capital Emmy Awards Gala. The Emmy is the “gold-standard” in the television profession across all media platforms and speaks volumes about our work and our workplace in the television industry
Over its almost 40 years of operation, Fairfax County Government Channel 16 has received just six Emmy nominations and one Emmy win in 2011. This year’s winning entry is in the Health/Medical-Short Form Content and the program is Larry’s Story: HIV Testing, produced by Valerie Bey with voiceovers by Fran Guastadisegni, graphics by Kenneth Rucker, camera work by Steve Adams, and engineering support by Kenneth Gilbert.
