Fairfax County is already facing serious and costly challenges due to climate change. Resilient Fairfax is the county’s plan to address the effects of changing climate on residents, businesses, and critical infrastructure. Adopted in November of 2022, the plan establishes goals and strategies to adapt to and to reduce risks from climate hazards such as extreme heat, severe storms, and flooding.
