The Comprehensive Plan is the guiding document for land use and development decisions across Fairfax County.  The last update to Reston's Comprehensive Plan was back in 2014 and 2015.  That area has experienced rapid growth since then.  A task force of more than 30 community members met for two years and collaborated with county staff to develop recommendations on the updated Comprehensive Plan.

Hunter Mill Supervisor Walter Alcorn talks with two staff members with the Department of Planning and Development: Chris Caperton, Deputy Director, and St. Clair Williams, Senior Planner in the Urban Centers Section about the status of the Reston Comprehensive Plan study and recommendations.
