The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) Addiction Medicine Clinic (AMC) helps adults who want to stop using substances by offering medication for addiction treatment seven days a week. These medicines ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. This makes recovery safer and more comfortable. All care is offered in an outpatient setting which means you do not need to stay overnight.
At the AMC, substance use disorders are treated as a medical issue. For opioid use disorder, AMC offers Suboxone (buprenorphine) and Sublocade. For alcohol use disorders, AMC offers Vivitrol and naltrexone.
AMC Supervisor Jennifer Scrivener shares, “Our goal is to help people set their own recovery goals and work toward them with support from their medical team. We offer respectful, non-judgmental care and medicines that can help with substance use disorders. Our clinic is a safe, supportive place where people get treatment that fits their needs.”
