Each September, the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) joins people across the country to celebrate Recovery Month. This month honors people who are living in recovery. It also reminds us that healing is possible. Recovery Month 2026 focuses on connecting with care, peer support and community awareness. Recovery Month reminds us that no one has to do this alone.
As Michael Lane, Division Director of Recovery and Peer Services, says, “With the right support, people can find hope and move forward in recovery.”
Strengthen Your Recovery Journey
Recovery grows when people have tools, routine and support. The CSB can help you in many ways:
- Connect with a Recovery Coach: A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist has lived experience. They can encourage you, help you set goals and guide you through challenges.
- Sign Up for Skill-Building Classes: These classes teach simple ways to manage stress, understand feelings and build healthy coping skills. Sign up for a class today!
- Relapse Prevention through Support: Relapse prevention means learning your triggers and building strong habits. The CSB’s substance use recovery services help you stay focused on your recovery and follow your treatment plan.

The CSB offers free training for individuals, families and the community.
