The benefit of this new service plan allows riders to travel throughout the region more easily, utilizing the Monument Drive Commuter Parking Garage and Transit Center, and the Springfield Community Business Center Commuter Parking Garage. Both of those facilities will be opening in Summer 2024.
More information on the Centreville, Chantilly, Vienna, and Tysons (CCVT), and Franconia-Springfield bus service can be found on the CCVT Bus Service Review webpage, including route information.
Regional Fare Increase Includes Fairfax Connector

Additionally, the FCDOT team will discuss the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) regional bus fare increase, which includes Fairfax Connector. In April, Metro’s Board of Directors approved a 12.5% fare increase. Currently, it is scheduled to take effect July 1, 2024. Fairfax Connector’s base fare would increase from $2.00 to $2.25, while Express fares would rise from $4.25 to $4.80. Implementation of this change is subject to Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approval.
