Ready Fairfax is a Fairfax County Department of Emergency Management and Security (DEMS) preparedness program designed to educate and empower community members to prepare for, respond to and mitigate emergencies, including natural and man-made disasters. The goal of the program is to promote preparedness through public engagement and digital communications.
Ready Fairfax asks you and your neighbors to take four actions: (1) stay informed about the different types of emergencies that could occur and their appropriate responses; (2) make an emergency plan; (3) build an emergency supply kit; and (4) get involved in your community by taking action to prepare for emergencies.
