Searching for Youth Advocates
Calling all youth who would be great advocates to speak at a future Family Partnership Stakeholders Group meeting! Below, see why we hold the quarterly meetings so you can consider people you know who would be great speaker candidates. We are hoping to have teens and young adults so we may learn from their experiences.
Background
What is the purpose of stakeholder feedback?
Continuous improvement in the ability of Family Engagement to plan effectively for at-risk children, youth and their families in the community, through:
- Increasing family voice and choice at all levels.
- Promoting greater efficiency and responsiveness of processes.
- Facilitating information sharing and feedback.
- Promulgating best practices.
- Supporting Systems of care/Healthy Minds Fairfax principles and practices
What are the topics the time-limited planning groups will immediately address?
- Identify and promote what is working well.
- Identify and address what is not working well or could be working better.
- Surface new ideas to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
The next meeting is Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 between 2:30-4 p.m. Pennino Building 12011 Government Center Pkwy., Room 200, Fairfax, VA 22035. Email the name and contact information for anyone who might be willing to participate to Ann Kim.
