Sexual Violence Tier One is a 16-hour training on understanding sexual violence, systems responding to sexual violence in Fairfax County, and resources available in our community. National surveys show that 1 in 2 women, 1 in 6 men, and 1 in 2 transgender people (of all genders) have experienced some form of sexual violence in their lifetime.
This training is designed for professionals, volunteers, and community members looking to learn how and why sexual violence happens, the impact of sexual violence on individuals, families, and communities, and how to support those impacted.
Tier One training explores topics that may be challenging. Sometimes learning about these topics or providing support to other people impacted by violence may trigger difficult feelings. If you have questions about training content or concerns about participating, please contact Victoria Nevel-Babla.
