Round 7: Funds Available to Affordable Housing Providers to Assist Tenants with Rent Payments

The Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development has announced the start of the seventh round of rental assistance available to affordable housing providers to assist tenants facing financial hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic to pay rent.
 

APPLICATION PERIOD: November 17 – December 15, 2020
APPLICATION PERIOD CLOSED

The funds are made possible through an allocation from the Community Development Block Grant program authorized by the CARES Act. The funds are designed to provide assistance for affordable housing providers experiencing an unexpected loss of rental income due to the pandemic. The funds can help cover the rental obligations of eligible tenants who are unable to pay their full or partial rent due to economic hardships resulting from the effects of COVID-19 for up to six (6) months.

There is NO PENALTY OR REPAYMENT associated with this assistance.
