The Reston Town Center North (RTCN) redevelopment is a partnership between Fairfax County and Inova Health Care Services to transform a patchwork of irregularly shaped parcels into walkable urban blocks. The project will rebuild and expand aging public facilities, deliver new recreation and open space, an elementary school site, and a 3+ acre Central Green, and provide a mixed-use transition from Reston Town Center to surrounding neighborhoods.
In January 2023, Supervisor Alcorn convened the RTCN Task Force to study public facility uses, resulting in the November 2023 RTCN Task Force Recommendations Report.
