Fairfax County Supervisor Walter Alcorn will host an in-person budget town hall meeting on Monday, March 23, to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Advertised Budget.

This meeting was rescheduled from its original date on March 16 because the Fairfax County Public Schools were closed early that day due to the weather.
The town hall will provide residents with an opportunity to offer feedback on the proposed spending, tax rates, and investments for the upcoming fiscal year.
Town Hall Details
- WHEN: Monday, March 23, 2026, from 7-8: 30 p.m.
- WHERE: Louise Archer Elementary School, 324 Nutley Street, NW, Vienna
“In February, the county executive presented his advertised budget which is just the first step in the budget process,” said Supervisor Alcorn. “During the coming weeks, I’ll be carefully listening and learning what residents think about his proposal — including my budget town hall for Hunter Mill — and that will help inform my budget conclusions and votes. I encourage Hunter Mill District residents to participate, and of course, they also may contact my office directly with their thoughts.”
Supervisor Alcorn will be joined by School Board Member Melanie Meren, along with staff from the Fairfax County Department of Management and Budget.
For those who can’t attend this town hall, it will be livestream on Supervisor Alcorn’s Facebook page. The meeting will also be recorded and posted online to view on demand.
Proposed Budget
The county executive’s proposed budget serves as the blueprint plan for county investments in public schools, parks, human services, public safety, infrastructure and more. The Board of Supervisors will hold public hearings on this proposal in April before adopting the budget in May.
