Fairfax County Park Authority’s Summer Entertainment Series presents exciting shows at 18 locations! Choose from 183 live performances — featuring a new series taking place Saturday evenings at Mosaic in Merrifield and the returning Starlight drive-in cinema in Centreville. Enjoy performances from outstanding local and national touring groups including:

  • Crack The Sky on August 18 at Grist Mill Park
  • D.C.’s own Chuck Brown Go-Go/Funk Band on July 19 at Franconia District Park
  • Tom Paxton, an internationally acclaimed folk musician, accompanied by The DonJuans on June 18 at Mason District Park
  • Seldom Scene on August 3 at Nottoway Park

The 2023 season also presents some of the top regional tribute bands including:

  • Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute Band on June 9 at Grist Mill Park
  • Countdown to Ecstasy, Steely Dan Tribute Band on July 22 at Arrowbrook Centre Park
  • Bruce in the USA, Springsteen Tribute Band on August 5 at Arrowbrook Centre Park
  • Don’t Back Down, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Tribute Band on August 10 at the Fairfax County Government Center

These free performances and movies are possible thanks to a strong partnership between Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, our volunteers, business sponsors, individual donors and the Fairfax County Park Foundation. 

Visit local vineyard vendors with free wine tasting (and sales) at Arrowbrook Centre Park, Grist Mill and the Government Center. Enjoy beer sales and a food truck at Burke Lake Park.  

The schedule also features Saturday and Wednesday morning shows just for children! Performances are held outdoors and are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Pack a picnic basket, umbrella, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy music in the parks! Call the HOTLINE at 703-324-SHOW (7469) one hour prior to the start of a show for rain cancellations.

For those interested in performing at the 2024 Summer Entertainment Series, presented by the Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA), we require that you complete the online application form below. Please note that our booking for 2023 has been completed.
