Online Real Estate Appeal Application - Residential Properties Only

The deadline for submitting appeals is May 1, 2019. Administrative appeals will not be accepted after this date.

This online application is for residential properties only (single family, townhouse, duplex, and condominium).

Commercial real estate appeals require a hardcopy application that is available on the Tax Forms page.

This is not a Board of Equalization (BOE) appeal application. Please see the BOE site for more information on filing an appeal with the Board of Equalization.


Appeals may result in assessed values being affirmed (no change), or adjusted upward or downward to establish a fair and equitable assessment of your property.

You will be provided with written notification of the results of the review of your appeal by mail.

This appeal application should take about 15 minutes to complete if you have done your research in advance.

Research for sales and comparable properties is available at the Real Estate Assessment Information Site. This site allows searches by street name (no street number required) or by tax map number (partial map numbers are accepted i.e., the numbers "0584 20" in the full map number of "0584 20 0045"), as well as providing a link to sales in your assessment neighborhood.

The online application is set to timeout after one hour.
