On Saturday, Nov. 15, Fairfax County Park Authority welcomed members of the community out to celebrate the reopening of Mount Vernon Rec Center, 2017 Belle View Blvd., Alexandria. The family-friendly event showcased the Rec Center's fresh, new amenities including its ice rinks, indoor climbing wall, pool and Fitness Center. The event featured opening remarks by local leaders, guest appearances from the West Potomac High School Cheer Team and Washington Nationals George Washington mascot, community vendors, live music by a DJ, and activities for the entire family.
