Voter Registration Training

UPCOMING THIRD PARTY VOTER REGISTRATION TRAINING INFORMATION
Effective July 1, 2013 all individuals or organizations requesting twenty-five (25) or more voter registration applications from the Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) or local voter registration offices must register and complete ELECT certified training.
 
THREE WAYS TO COMPLETE TRAINING

ELECT encourages all groups involved in the voter registration process to participate in these training opportunities.
 
TRAINING SCHEDULE
In-Person Third Party Voter Registration Class
Thursday, May 17, 2018  CANCELLED
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Please RSVP to Patricia.Ferguson@fairfaxcounty.gov within 24 hours of the class or it will be cancelled. You may also schedule a separate class. Each class is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Korean by request.

All classes, unless otherwise noted, are conducted in the Office of Elections, Suite 323, 12000 Government Center Pkwy., Fairfax, 22035.

The training will cover topics including best practices for completion of the voter registration application, maintaining the integrity of the voter registration process, prohibited activities, important deadlines for submission of completed applications, and laws protecting the privacy of applicants. The online tutorial is still required by ELECT.
 
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES:
May 1 Town Elections: April 9 at 5:00 p.m., ONLINE: 11:59 p.m.
June 12 Primary Election(s): May 21 at 5:00 p.m., ONLINE: 11:59 p.m.
November 6 General Election: October 15 at 5:00 p.m., ONLINE: 11:59 p.m.
