Plan ahead for your arrival
- Know where to go: the Community Vaccination Center is located inside the former Lord & Taylor store on the north side of the Tysons Corner Center mall. The closest parking garage is Garage D and the closest mall entrance is through Macy’s on the ground level. Once inside the mall, stay on Level 1 and follow signs to the vaccination center. The entrance to the Community Vaccination Center is right next to Subway.
- Plan ahead for your arrival and please arrive on time. Appointments are scheduled throughout the day to ensure social distancing.
- At your scheduled appointment time, head inside for check-in.
- Wear a mask the entire time, whether you are inside or outside the facility.
- Social distancing will be maintained.
- You may want to bring your insurance information and identification. Please note the COVID-19 vaccine is free and involves zero cost to you. You do not need health insurance to access vaccine. The federal government allows vaccine providers to be reimbursed for vaccine administration fees by a person’s public or private insurance company to help defray costs associated with this increased service. Use V-Safe
V-safe is a smartphone tool that provides personalized health check-ins after you receive COVID-19 vaccination. It’s easy to use.
Remember, it takes two
You will require a booster vaccination a few weeks after your first appointment if you receive the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
- Pfizer: You should schedule the second dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 21 days after the first dose, ideally on the date printed on the back of your CDC Vaccination Record Card. Do not select a date that is earlier than the date printed on the back of your card! Do not select a date that is earlier than the date printed on the back of your card! You are responsible for ensuring that you select a date that is at least 21 days after the first dose. Not all dates shown on the schedule will be 21 days from your first appointment.
- Moderna: You should schedule the second dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after the first dose, ideally on the date printed on the back of your CDC Vaccination Record Card. Do not select a date that is earlier than the date printed on the back of your card! You are responsible for ensuring that you select a date that is at least 28 days after the first dose. Not all dates shown on the schedule will be 28 days from your first appointment.
Please schedule your second dose directly in the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS), the same system you used to schedule your first dose. If you do not see appointments available, please check back as vaccination appointment days and times are frequently refreshed.
IMPORTANT: Please bring your CDC Vaccination Record Card with you to your second dose appointment!
