The Partnership for a Healthier Fairfax's Annual Meeting will be a business meeting followed by an educational program featuring Deeply Rooted. The meeting will take place online.
The 2022 annual meeting’s educational program, “Deeply Rooted: How History Connects the Health of Our Community’s Past, Present and Future,” looks at how the long history of exclusion and segregation in Northern Virginia has harmed the health of residents of some communities and concentrated wealth and opportunity for others, then address how the Partnership can play a role going forward. Program speakers include Patricia Matthews, president and CEO of the Northern Virginia Health Foundation, and Stephen Woolf, MD, MPH, study author and director emeritus of the VCU Center on Society and Health.
