The Fairfax County Office of Human Rights and Equity Programs Assessment System asks general questions about your complaint to help you decide if the OHREP is the correct agency to assist you.

After answering the questions you will be directed to the appropriate Intake Questionnaire with more specific questions about your situation.

Completing the assessment or an Intake Questionnaire is NOT the same as filing a charge.

If you want the OHREP to look into your complaint, you need to file a charge of discrimination. In order to do this, you must complete and submit an intake questionnaire or contact OHREP directly to begin the process of filing a charge. Certain time limits apply. The anti-discrimination laws give you a limited amount of time to file charges of discrimination. In general, you need to file an employment charge of discrimination within 365 days from the day the discrimination took place.
