Community Meeting Held May 12; Public Comments Closed May 27, 2016
Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) hosted a community meeting to discuss proposed bike lanes on Southrun Road on Thursday, May 12, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Laurel Hill Elementary School, 8390 Laurel Crest Drive, Lorton, Virginia 22079. Representatives from FCDOT and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) talked about the plans for the project, which addresses not only bike lanes, but also traffic impacts and safety issues.
Project Background
As part of the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) 2016 summer road repaving program, there are several bicycle projects proposed in Fairfax County. The improvements are planned for: Southrun Road from Silverbook Road to Pohick Road. Click on the image below to enlarge.
