Project Background
The Lee Chapel Road Walkway constructed a missing sidewalk link along the west side of Lee Chapel Road between Burke Lake Road and Britford Drive. The project includes approximately 1,600 linear feet of 5’ to 6’ wide sidewalk as well as a new concrete retaining wall.
This project was identified as part of the Fairfax County 2014 Transportation Bond and cost $312,000.
Public Meetings
Springfield Supervisor Pat Herrity and the Fairfax County Department of Transportation held a Pardon our Dust meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 7 p.m., in the Community Room of the West Springfield Governmental Center, 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield The meeting provided information about the upcoming construction.
