Copies in the General District Court cost 50 cents per page over 10 pages, however, single copies of civil judgments or criminal or traffic charging documents are provided free of charge to civil parties, counsel of record, defendants, prosecutors, public defenders, and law enforcement officers. Cases cannot be copied on their court date. Cases are available for copy request after they have been reviewed in chambers. Please specify if a certified copy is needed.
Anyone requesting more than five copies at a time will be asked to submit a written copy request for the clerk's office to process as staffing allows. Larger requests for multiple-case copies will usually be processed within two to five business days. Unusual requests or requests that will require significant staff hours to complete may be referred to Court Administration.
The Clerk's Office will provide copies via mail or in person pick-up only. A self-addressed stamped envelope must be provided for copies to be mailed.
The clerk’s office does not provide certified copies of Orders without a self-addressed stamped envelope accompanying the request. As such, it is requested that parties avoid placing language in Orders requiring that the Clerk shall forward parties copies of Orders unless a SASE is provided.
