Attorneys practicing before the court must be members of the Virginia Bar in good standing. Foreign counsel must apply for permission and pay a $250 fee per case to appear pro hac vice in Virginia courts. Foreign counsel and third-year law students must associate with local counsel pursuant to §54.1-3900 of the Code of Virginia.
