On March 17, ICNA Relief held a banquet at the Waterford Event Center in Springfield. The event brought together community members and partners in celebration of the work that has been done over the COVID-19 pandemic.

Several Health Department staff were honored for their work with ICNA, including Community Health Development Director Anthony J. Mingo Sr., Shafiq Qureshi, Senior Community Health Specialist, and Community Health Specialists Mariama Kalokoh and Frank Owusu.

“It is with great appreciation that I share my gratitude and sincere thanks to ICNA Relief for their tremendous support of our most vulnerable communities across Fairfax County,” Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, Director of Health, Fairfax County Health Department, said at last Friday’s banquet. “As director of health it has been heartwarming to witness the resilience of the human spirit and the difference ordinary people can make when community comes together to nurture, encourage, and provide for each other.”
