How to Help

If you are at risk for TB infection, get tested. And if you experience symptoms, see a health care provider right away. TB can be prevented and cured.

The TB team provides testing to identify people with Latent TB infection, provides laboratory and x-ray diagnostic services to those individuals suspected of having TB disease, and offers treatment to prevent and cure active TB disease. Screening for TB infection and providing treatment to prevent progression to active disease are important in the ultimate elimination of TB. Screening programs target those most at risk.
