People of the Potomac: Archaeology of Riverbend Park

Visit the James Lee Community Center, located at 2855 Annandale Road in Falls Church, from Oct. 9 to Dec. 31. See artifacts from Riverbend Park, spanning Paleoindian, Archaic and Woodland periods. Discover stone tool technology adaptations to climate change.

The Archaeology of the Potomac River Valley: A View from the National Parks

Also, mark your calendars for Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the James Lee Community Center Auditorium in Falls Church to join archaeologist Stephen R. Potter and explore archaeological discoveries in the Potomac River Valley. Learn about the first survey, modern research and unearthed treasures during this free event.
