Community Reporting System (CRS)

For an emergency or crime in progress, DIAL 911 NOW. Do NOT use this form.

Welcome to Fairfax County's Community Reporting System (CRS). This system allows police reports to be submitted at any time for incidents that occurred within Fairfax County.

All case statuses are classified as INACTIVE, meaning it is not assigned to a detective or officer for further investigation.

Reports are typically reviewed within 72 hours, not including weekends, major holidays, or unscheduled government closures. Once a report is submitted, submitters need to check their email often (including spam and junk folders), as police personnel may need clarification or additional information to complete the report.

  • I understand online reporting is for documentation only and the case will not be investigated.
