The Equity Liaison Program serves as a connection between the FCPD and the County's diverse communities. Equity Liaisons build relationships with community members and organizations, provide feedback on community concerns and emerging issues, and help maintain communication between the FCPD and those we serve. They also work with investigative units to monitor bias incidents and crimes, engage affected communities when appropriate, and support outreach efforts following significant incidents.
Internally, liaisons provide cultural perspectives and community insight that support informed decision-making and service delivery. In addition, the program supports the FCPD’s commitment to the County's One Fairfax policy by promoting inclusive engagement, strengthening partnerships, and helping ensure services and outreach are responsive to the needs of Fairfax County's diverse communities.
