Cold Case Squad

The Cold Case Squad is responsible for investigating homicides and sexual assault cases where all investigative leads have been exhausted. Additionally, the unit conducts criminal investigations into all FCPD Police Affiliated Critical Incidents, deployments of deadly force, and in-custody deaths. Domestic Violence Squad

The Domestic Violence Squad investigates all felony assaults or any assault with serious injury in a covered or intimate relationship. They are the primary investigative entity for strangulations, stalking, and unlawful tracking. They are the subject matter experts for Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and protective orders. They work closely with our Victim Services Division.

Homicide Squad

The Homicide Squad investigates all deaths that are not natural, including homicides, suicides, and deaths of suspicious nature. They also investigate contact shootings, decompositions, human remains, drownings and child death cases. Their expertise assists with construction and fire fatalities.

Robbery Squad

The Robbery Squad investigates all robberies of commercial establishments including banks and businesses. Their investigative responsibilities also extend to any robbery in which a weapon is used or displayed. They are the primary investigative entity for carjackings and non-contact shootings.

Sex Crimes Squad

The Sex Crimes Squad investigates all felony sexual assaults. They are the primary investigative entity for stranger sexual assaults, serial peeping and serial indecent exposure cases.

Child Abuse Squad

The Child Abuse Squad investigates all felony physical and sexual abuse committed or attempted against a child. They also investigate all abuse of a child by a caretaker or custodian.

Child Exploitation Unit

The Child Exploitation Unit is primarily responsible for any internet crimes against children, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), sextortion, unlawful filming, and enticement of minors. The unit also investigates allegations of human trafficking and is the subject matter expert in electronic evidence.
