What to Expect

During design, residents and shoppers may see Fairfax County Staff and their representative contractors completing non-invasive survey of the surrounding area or completing site walks.

During construction, residents may expect temporary impact of an open-cut construction, including construction noise and dust, as well as temporary traffic restrictions, sewer by-pass pumps and construction machinery at the project site. Extent of this temporary impact will be better defined and communicated as design is finalized.

Project Cost and Funding Source(s)

This project is fully funded through sewer service charges from existing customers and availability charges, which are one-time fees for the initial connection to the system. No tax dollars are funding these improvements.
